THE DANTEAN POEM

Best known as La Divina Commedia, Dante Alighieri’s poem is written in terza rima with hendecasyllabic verses, in the Florentine vernacular. The poem is divided into three canticas (Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso), each consisting of 33 cantos, narrating an imaginary journey through the three realms of the afterlife.

OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME

Each player must cooperate to help the Supreme Poet ascend through the celestial spheres of Paradiso, reaching the Empyrean and the sublime vision of the divine. Guided by Beatrice, Dante must exercise his Intellect to acquire all the Virtues, and then, aided by Saint Bernard, complete the transhumanation, achieving salvation and finally reaching… "the love that moves the sun and the other stars."
